SANS Institute to Host SecureInfo's DIACAP and NIST Government Compliance Training

New DIACAP Course Covers Transition from DITSCAP-to-DIACAP

San Antonio, TX – August 1, 2006 – SecureInfo® Corporation, a leading provider of managed security services, professional security services and compliance solutions, today announced a training agreement with The SANS Institute. Under the agreement, SANS will host SecureInfo’s DIACAP (Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program) and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) compliance process courses. SecureInfo’s DITSCAP courses were sold out earlier this year at SANSFIRE Orlando and SANSFIRE San Diego. SANS is currently working on a GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) DIACAP competency certification in which SecureInfo’s DIACAP course will meet the criteria needed for participants to receive GIAC certification assurance. The classes are part of the SANS Hosted Series, a new series of vendor specific classes hosted by outside partners to compliment customer needs for training outside of SANS vendor neutral classes.

With the recent interim signing of the new DIACAP process, which will replace the previous DITSCAP standard for the Department of Defense, SecureInfo was the first vendor to announce its immediate support for DIACAP Certification & Accreditation services, product and training. The company’s broad and deep information assurance experience and its ability to apply information security expertise and technology to support the Department of Defense and other government organizations with all phases of the C&A process, enables SecureInfo to stay ahead of the curve and quickly respond to newly mandated regulatory standards such as DIACAP. SecureInfo’s founder,Keith Frederick, played a critical role in assisting in the creation of the C&A standard for the US Air Force (DITSCAP) and is currently on the NIST C&A Review Committee where he was asked to assist in reviewing the DIACAP process.

Its programs now reach more than 165,000 security professionals, chief information security officers, and CIOs. For additional information on SANS or GIAC Certification visit www.sans.org.

“SANS is the recognized global leader in Information Security training programs,” stated Christopher Fountain, president and CEO of SecureInfo. “This partnership will strengthen the position of both companies as leaders in IT security and compliance.”
