Senior Security Consultant

Location: Omaha, NE

Job Summary:
The Senior Security Consultant develops security policies, procedures and security certification and accreditation (C&A) packages for a variety of commercial and government activities worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages personal task schedule to ensure milestones are met and projects stay on track
  • Provides training to team members
  • Serves as customer interface and liaison on task matters and prepares project status reports - Prepares for and conducts customer briefings and Technical Interchanges
  • Develops System Security Authorization Agreements / System Security Plans
  • Performs threat vulnerability assessments and provides certification recommendations
  • Directs and conducts security tests and evaluations; provides technical support in the evaluation of security products
  • Develops information systems security studies and reports that address areas of information system security concerns
  • Creates, edits and reviews certification and accreditation documents
  • Provides consultant services in all areas of information system security, including physical security, administrative security, personnel security, computer security, operations security and industrial security
  • Maintains currency on governing directives
  • Promotes company services and products and provides input and direction to company developed products

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years experience; or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 8 years experience; or Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field with 10 years experience is preferred; or High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 12 or more years related experience in the field of Computer Science and/or Information Technology
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) may be substituted for experience on the basis of 2 years per certification
  • 5+ years experience in the design, development, architecture and integration of engineered security requirements into computer-based systems, security evaluation/assessment and certification and accreditation processes, specifically DITSCAP, DIACAP, DODIIS
  • Proven communication skills to include giving formal presentations
  • Experience developing information and information security systems based on understanding the information gathering and manipulation requirements of customers
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required to start
