The Job:
The Security Consultant provides information assurance services to government and potentially commercial customers. Information assurance services may include certification and accreditation support, policy and procedure development, risk assessments and compliance support.
Responsibilities:
Apply business process improvement practices to include re-engineering critical methodologies and associated business process modernization projects. Develop data and business processes. Verify system compliance with standards and perform risk analyses. Construct sound, logical business improvement opportunities consistent with customer IT and assurance requirements. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 4+ years of related work experience in the integration of engineered security requirements into information systems. Proven communications skills, including giving formal presentations. Demonstrated experience designing, developing and integrating secure IT processes into information systems based on understanding information gathering and manipulation requirements. Professional certifications, such as the Certified Information Systems Professional (CISSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) are a plus. Candidate must possess a top secret clearance.
