Colonel Kelley Crooks, USAF (Ret), leads the SecureInfo San Antonio Services and Training office and is responsible for operations of SecureInfo's Team of Information Assurance professionals. Col. Crooks has over 30 years experience in planning, implementing, and directing Information Technology teams and programs to effectively meet warfighter requirements. He has had repeated success in managing multi-million dollar programs critical to DoD mission accomplishment in support of organizations such as the White House Communications Agency, U.S. Joint Forces Command and U.S. Southern Command, and the Defense Information Systems Agency. Col. Crooks has managed critical programs such as the Presidential voice networks, the Federal Aviation Administration long range radar replacement program, Information Assurance transformation across the SOUTHCOM and JFCOM areas of operations, and a complete fiber optic cable installation at Guantanamo Bay, post Sept 11, 2001.
Col. Crooks retired from the Air Force after completing his tour as Deputy Director for Communications at Air Education and Training Command, San Antonio, TX. At AETC, Col. Crooks directed staff and chaired quarterly program reviews in order to provide information technology policy and guidance supporting the education and training of over 200,000 USAF personnel across 13 locations. He managed an annual IT O&M budget in excess of $65M and led the directorate's Balanced Scorecard effort, establishing new goals to reduce redundancy and redirect focus toward implementing IT support for AETC training objectives.
Col. Crooks received the Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious service in connection with combat operations as the Director of Joint Communications in Iraq, and received the Hearst Professional Award for his support of the University of Florida School of Journalism. Col. Crooks is an active member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and serves as their Regional Vice President for Texas. He is also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Military Officers Association of America. Col. Crooks holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from The Ohio State University, and Masters Degrees in Teleprocessing Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and Strategic Operations from the Air University.
