IT Security Project Manager/Technical Manager
Location: McLean, VA
Job Summary: The candidate will be the senior SecureInfo on-site manager of a team of up to five IT security professionals and will provide subject matter expertise, advice, and guidance in direct support of a DoD and Intelligence Community clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technical project management of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) tasks for national security
systems.
- Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and guidance to senior government and contractor personnel
for planning and execution of C&A and other IT life-cycle security services and risk management
processes.
- Prepare C&A packages under DIACAP, DCID 6/3, and CNSS 1253.
- Develop policies, procedures, technical guidelines.
- Provide security testing and engineering support to software development and system integration
activities.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field; or Associate’s Degree
in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field with 8 years experience is preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 10 or more years related experience in
the field of computer science and or information technology.
- One or more of the following IT Security certifications is required: CISSP, ISSEP, ISSAP,
CISA, GSE, GSEC.
- PMI PMP certification is desired
Knowledge and Skills: Must demonstrate experience and successful execution in the following
areas:
- Creation of C&A packages under DoD and Intelligence community processes.
- Knowledge of the end-to-end C&A process and ability to deliver executive presentations and guide
client managers through risk management processes.
- Task leadership and/or project management of IT security activities
- Recent experience providing senior technical support directly to DoD and/or Intelligence Community
clients (as a government employee or contractor) working in an operational environment
- One or more of the following technical disciplines:
- ST&E/CT&E, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments;
- Security coding practices for software development for high-assurance environments;
- Security engineering, configuration, system administration
- Direct knowledge of Intelligence Community and DoD networks, policies, procedures, and organizational
structure
