Certification & Accreditation (C&A) Consultants
Location: McLean, Virginia
Job Summary:
The C&A Consultant develops security policies, procedures and security certification and accreditation (C&A) packages for our customers under the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and/or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST 800-37).
Responsibilities:
- Develops System Security Authorization Agreements / System Security Plans
- Performs threat vulnerability assessments and provides certification recommendations
- Directs and conducts security tests and evaluations; provides technical support in the evaluation of security products
- Develops information systems security studies and reports that address areas of information system security concerns
- Creates, edits and reviews certification and accreditation documents
- Provides consultant services in all areas of information system security, including physical security, administrative security, personnel security, computer security, operations security and industrial security
- Maintains currency on governing directives
- Promotes company services and products and provides input and direction to company developed products
Qualifications:
- Must be DoD 8570 compliant
- Bachelor's degree in MIS or related field preferred
- If no degree, then 8+ years practical working experience is acceptable
- Proven communication skills to include giving formal presentations
- EITDR experience a plus
- Active Secret level government security clearance required to start in this position
